Pupillage
DE SPEVILLE-DESVAUX is committed to taking on upbeat and enthusiastic pupils. It encourages its pupils to be actively involved throughout their time at the Chambers.
Pupillage can be undergone under the supervision of Patrice Doger de Spéville SC, Angélique A. Desvaux de Marigny SC, Ravi Bhookhun and Karyn Teck Yong. All pupillage applications should be addressed to the Legal Secretary, Karen Maneevelloo (email: admin@despeville-desvaux.com). Such applications must be supported by a curriculum vitae (CV) and a brief personal statement (one page maximum).
The applicant is also required to clearly indicate the period of pupillage applied for and to provide full contact details.
Throughout their time at the Chambers, pupils will be asked to, among other things, conduct legal research, draft legal documents and attend client meetings and court sessions.
Prior to starting their pupillage at DE SPEVILLE-DESVAUX, pupils will be also required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and the Chambers Rules governing the pupillage.
All applicants are hereby informed and agree, that admission as pupil at DE SPEVILLE-DESVAUX does not give rise to any expectation of tenancy in the Chambers.
Mini Pupillage
DE SPEVILLE-DESVAUX welcomes students with an interest in a career at the Bar who wish to spend a short period (not exceeding two weeks) in Chambers to acquire invaluable first-hand experience.
